CONDO PLAN STILL DICEY: Tice Valley residents this week continued to oppose the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center's plan to sell property zoned for open space to permit development of a condo project.
Center officials are discussing the negative feedback they received during a neighborhood meeting Wednesday and expect to decide next week whether to proceed with the 80-unit condo project or to revise their proposal before seeking a general plan amendment from the City Council, said consultant John Wyro
Resident Heidi Bosselman said she and other neighbors oppose four-story portions of the project and would like to see fewer units. The center scaled back plans in response to previous neighborhood concerns, reducing the number of units from 120 to 80, changing the site plan and adding more trees and grass.
